War on Drugs
What Prompted and Inspired Me
What Problem Am I Solving
By 2020, there had been up to 10,000,000 people doing drugs in China, and a large proportion of them were entrapped into drug-taking. This project is trying to help young people stay away from drug traps.

Find Answers Through Ambiguity
I needed to investigate further to come up with an idea. There is a pressing questions to be answered: Why are there so many young people doing drugs in China?
Research methods: Interview, survey and literature review

Anti-drug education in and out of school is somewhat unattractive and inefficient.
It doesn’t work very well and the young are hoping for something more interesting.

Seven people participated in the interviews.

How I Turned My Design into Real Web Pages

Most of the pages were realized!
Usability Testing
To identify any usability problems and determine the participant's satisfaction with the website, I conducted a usability test.
Recruiting Participants
The participants need to be people who had no involvement in the design or development of the website; people who represented a target audience(Chinese adolescents whose ages were between 16 and 24).

Equipment: Laptop
Scenarios
I designed 8 scenarios for the laptop testing, and the tasks catered for each participant. Before deciding the tasks, I had short interviews with the participants, in order to make it easier for them to fit in the scenarios.
Scenario 1
You are going to take part in a knowledge competition on drug. The scope of the competition covers the origins, types, and appearances of drugs. To arm yourself with ample knowledge, you would like to use the website to learn more about drug...
Scenario 2
You want to share your view with people who are concerned about drug control in China on the Internet...
Scenario 3
You want to play the puzzle games and complete the games...
Methods: Surveys, Contextual Inquiry
